Rent Smart Wales

Agents who undertake letting and property management work on rental properties in Wales are legally required to have a Rent Smart Wales licence, ensuring that they are suitable and appropriately trained, to carry out this work on behalf of their landlord clients.

Shepherd Sharpe is a fully licensed agent with Rent Smart Wales for both letting and property management work.

The Property Ombudsman

The Property Ombudsman scheme provides independent redress in cases of disputes between consumers and estate agents. The scheme has two goals. First, to ensure that estate agents and letting agents adhere to stringent standards. Second, to resolve complaints made by consumers.

Shepherd Sharpe is a full member of TPO meaning that we commit to TPO Codes of Practice and ensure that all complaints are dealt with promptly and appropriately.

DPS

Agents who carry out letting and management work on rental properties, are required by law to hold any security deposits in a government backed tenancy deposit protection scheme. 

Shepherd Sharpe use the Deposit Protection Service (DPS), where the security deposit is held by the DPS for the duration of the tenancy, and is a simple hassle free serve for both landlords and tenants, which ensures fairness at the end of the tenancy, and if needed there is a free arbitration service to resolve any disputes that might arise.
